I am happy to verify your insurance coverage, or I can provide you information on what to ask if you prefer to call them yourself.
Please note, unfortunately sometimes insurance representatives do not provide accurate information. If insurance does not cover counseling, you are responsible for the cost.
-
You will receive the following forms to complete: Practice Policies and Intake Questionnaire.
They will need to be completed at least 48 hours before your initial appointment , or it will be rescheduled.
-
This 75-90 minute session includes a thorough nutrition and lifestyle assessment.
We will review your health history, medications and supplements, recent labs, eating patterns and habits, what you have tried in the past, etc.
We will come up with one or two small action steps to begin implementing right away, but the purpose of this session is the assessment.
-
At the first follow up session we’ll discuss your personalized nutrition care plan.
Ongoing follow ups are typically scheduled every 2 weeks, providing ongoing support as you navigate dietary changes, troubleshoot challenges, and build sustainable habits over time.

You will need to complete all of the intake paperwork at least 48 hours before your first session. We will also need to verify for your insurance benefits beforehand. If these are not completed, we will reschedule your session.
-
I charge a fee for no-shows and cancellations within 24 hours of an appointment.
Also if your insurance denies the claim for whatever reason, you are responsible for the out-of-pocket fees ($250 USD for an initial session and $150 USD for a follow-up).
I will never charge your card for anything without letting you know first.
-
I am happy to verify your benefits for you. However, please note, occasionally insurance representatives do not give accurate information. If your insurance does not cover the cost, you will be responsible for the cash price.
-
No, you can pay my cash rates ($250 for an initial session and $150 for follow ups).
I can also take HSA, provide a superbill, or offer a sliding scale upon request.
-
During the initial assessment we’ll take the time to explore:
Your goals and what you’d like to achieve
Your medical history, symptoms, and lifestyle
Your current eating patterns and any challenges you’ve been facing
This session helps me build a clear picture of your needs so I can start developing a personalized roadmap or treatment plan that we’ll review together in your second appointment.
By the end of the first session, you’ll leave with 1-2 practical steps to begin working on right away, giving you an early sense of direction and progress.
-
During follow up appointments we will review your progress toward your action steps and make adjustments as needed to your treatment plan.
You do not have to “qualify” for a follow up session. If you have not completed the actions steps, you will get the most out of our work together if you still show up.
-
Most people make the biggest progress when they meet with me every other week for at least 3-6 months (sometimes longer depending on your specific circumstances).
-
If you believe a meal plan will be helpful, I will gladly co-create one with you during session.
-
If you have a chronic health condition and would like to use nutrition as a tool to help manage it, my services are for you.
Knowing what to eat is often a great first step in making changes. But my services are best for people who want support in implementing that knowledge into their daily lives.
If you struggle to consistently take action, my services will be a great fit.
-
I don’t work with people with active eating disorders.
-
Weight neutral means focusing on objective measures of health like blood pressure, blood sugar levels, cholesterol, etc. instead of only focusing on body weight. The goal shifts from trying to lose weight to instead working on healthful nutrition habits, whether or not you lose weight.
Weight inclusive means creating an environment that welcomes people of all sizes, ensuring equitable health care and reducing stigma. It recognizes that health is multifaceted and body weight diversity is natural.

Initial Assessments are $250 for a 75-85 minute session.
Follow up appointments are $150 for a 55 minute session.
